Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river. – Malagasy Proverb

You can’t possibly make anyone love you if you don’t love yourself enough. Like business negotiations, love is a strict bargain. There is a lot of politics and power play. You must keep your strong hand and make your moves decisively.

Many of us doubt, and this is why we find expression difficult.

In my years of playing the Saxophone, loving it has been my greatest tool. I have discovered that the more I love and feel passionate about the music, the greater my confidence.

Without confidence, every sound expressed is laced with fear and uncertainty. This never pleases the audience. Most people do not connect well with fear. It’s weak, repulsive even. It repels while confidence attracts. When sharing your story or writing a piece, confidence is the most important of the mix.

I recently talked about proportion in a Facebook live session. I explained that content is created best by those who understand all the proportions. You need to be aware that writing or expressing is not just about having a story, it’s also about confidence in what you have to say.
